Phillies’ Winter of Woe

It was an ugly winter for Phillies fans who were paying attention. The team needed to stand pat in its starting rotation with the exception of saying goodbye to Roy Oswalt. A rotation of Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels filled out with some combination of Worley, Kendrick and Joe Blanton will be a very good basis for the team. The Phillies ended their season in pathetic fashion alloying the Cardinals to shut them out 1-0. Roy Halladay pitched his arm off and was reward with no run support. This is a shame and a disgrace! It's time to break up the team now.

Phils Nip Cards 3-2 to Gain 2-1 Lead in NLDS

The Phillies nipped the Cardinals 3-2 in St. Louis in a hard fought pitching duel between Cole Hamels and Jaime Garcia. Hamels pitched six shutout innings while Garcia yielded nothing but the game winning homer.
